Your role
As a talented BA / .NET developer, you will help us continue expanding our global analytics team, fuelled by the rich data generated by our inhouse end-to-end trading system as well as external datasets. We are growing rapidly and are looking for exceptional candidates to help us deliver on our mission. This role will have the opportunity to interface directly with the business.
As a member of the analytics team, located in Geneva, Switzerland, you will:
Build a new exciting Master Data platform, unifying all our applications and integrating them with a common set of entities – examples: locations, vessels, contracts and others.Analyse the business and understand what use-cases are required for the disparate systems and how to best design for them.Be part of a global development teamTurn user feedback into actionable design improvements and bug fixesImplement clean, well-documented, tested, and extensible code to satisfy business requirementsProvide business applications support and training to users on day to day issuesWork on exciting and diverse projects, such as:Geographic Information System (GIS) based systemsData ingestion and distributionQualifications
5+ years of experience working with C# and related .NET technologies within global enterprise solutionsExperience with RDBMS and SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)Experience working in an agile scrum development modelExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to drive interactions with project stakeholdersProactive and user-focused, with a can-do attitude and a genuine interest in the functional as well as technical aspects of each challenge encounteredDrives software development best practicesSelf-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing prioritiesExcellent English oral and written skillsAdditional Information
Qualifications that will help you stand out
Experience in GraphQL or gRPC is a plusExperience in Reactive Extensions (RX) preferredPrevious experience in the commodities and/or trading industryUniversity degree (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Science, MIS, or an equivalent fieldFrench language skills an advantage
