Senior Data Engineer & Data Architect

This hybrid role combines hands-on data engineering with strategic data architecture, supporting advanced analytics and investment decision-making.The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Informatica IICS, Snowflake, and cloud data platforms, along with strong experience in the investment/financial services domain. The role requires active collaboration with business stakeholders to define data strategies and deliver high-quality solutionsKey ResponsibilitiesData ArchitectureDefine and implement enterprise data architecture aligned with business and investment strategies.Design scalable, secure, and high-performance data models and frameworks.Establish data governance, standards, and best practices across the organization.Lead data platform modernization and cloud adoption initiatives.Data EngineeringDevelop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica IICS.Build and optimize data solutions on Snowflake for performance and scalability.Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across pipelines.Handle large-scale structured and unstructured data efficiently.Stakeholder & Delivery ManagementEngage with business users (finance, investment, and operations teams) to gather and refine requirements.Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and data models.Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to enable reporting and insights.Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams.Required Skills & Qualifications15+ years of experience in data engineering and data architecture roles.Strong expertise in Informatica IICS (Data Integration, Data Quality, Application Integration).Hands-on experience with Snowflake (data warehousing, optimization, performance tuning).Strong knowledge of data modelling (dimensional, normalized, and enterprise models).Experience in cloud platforms.Advanced SQL skills and experience with large-scale data processing.Proven experience designing end-to-end data solutions.Domain ExpertiseExperience in investment management, asset management, or financial services.Understanding of financial data, portfolio analytics, and reporting frameworks.Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards in financial environments.Soft SkillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to bridge the gap between business and technology teams.Strong leadership, ownership, and mentoring capabilities.Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability.Preferred QualificationsExposure to Power BI or similar analytics tools.Knowledge of data governance and data catalog tools.
