As part of Paladone Group Holdings, WeCool plays a key role in our international growth strategy.The opportunity:We're looking for a driven and detailoriented Technologist to join our Quality Assurance team. This role is critical in ensuring our products meet global safety, quality, and legislative standards, from concept through to postlaunch compliance. You'll work closely with New Product Development, Design, Supply Chain, Factories and Test Labs, supporting product development while protecting product integrity and brand reputation. What are key duties of the role? Support New Product Development by advising on global safety, testing and compliance requirements from concept through to launch.. Manage product testing, working closely with laboratories, suppliers and factories to ensure products meet all relevant international regulations. Review product samples, packaging and artwork to ensure safety, quality and legislative compliance. Maintain accurate and uptodate technical documentation and compliance records, including test reports and declarations. Proactively manage postlaunch compliance, including test renewals, customer enquiries and investigation of quality or safety issues. Identify and resolve product noncompliances, agreeing corrective and preventative actions with suppliers and factories. Collaborate crossfunctionally with NPD, Design, Supply Chain and external partners to support efficient product development and timely shipment release. Keep technical knowledge and understanding of global legislation up to date through ongoing learning and training. What we need you to bring to the team: Proven experience in a Technologist, product compliance, or product safety role, ideally within toys, gifts, or consumer products.Strong working knowledge of international product safety and compliance requirements, particularly across EU, UK, and US markets.Experience managing compliance for toy categories, including compounds (e.g. slime, dough, craft compounds), ensuring adherence to global testing standards.Demonstrated expertise in coordinating product testing, interpreting laboratory reports, and maintaining technical documentation aligned to international regulations.Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, packaging requirements, and mandatory labelling for global markets.What we will offer in return: You'll enjoy flexible hours, hybrid working (1-2 days per week from home), 16 days' annual leave rising to 18 with service (this includes closure days at Lunar New Year and Christmas), wellbeing days, and a shorter working day on your birthday.Our culture is friendly and communityfocused, with fully funded company events, team socials, team building events and an annual HK$1,000 allowance per person for departmentled activities.Your health and wellbeing matter to us.
