Описание должности

We’re transforming Port Talbot into a major hub for floating offshore wind (FLOW) and green energy, and this is your opportunity to be part of it.

Through our Future Port Talbot programme, the port will become a central location for the manufacturing, assembly and integration of FLOW projects in the Celtic Sea. Alongside offshore wind, plans include sustainable aviation fuel production, hydrogen, onshore wind and carbon capture technologies, positioning Port Talbot as a leading green energy hub for Wales and the UK.

We are seeking a Project Manager with strong marine expertise. These projects play a critical role

in supporting our growth ambitions and enabling the UK’s energy transition.

You will take full ownership of major marine capital projects, typically ranging from £20m to £200m+ CAPEX, managing delivery across the full lifecycle from strategic definition and feasibility through to construction and operational handover.

Marine Infrastructure Focus

A key priority will be leading the development and delivery of major marine infrastructure packages exceeding £500m in value. This includes:

  • New quay wall construction and berthing facilities
  • Large-scale dredging and navigational works
  • Land reclamation and coastal engineering schemes

You will work closely with ABP’s marine, landside infrastructure, and utilities teams to ensure seamless integration and successful delivery across all interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the development and delivery of marine infrastructure projects, ensuring strong commercial outcomes and return on investment.
  • Oversee design, procurement, planning approvals, and construction, managing specialist contractors and consultants.
  • Drive project performance across complex marine environments, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, safety, and quality expectations.
  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies, working with regulators, harbour authorities, environmental bodies, and local communities.
  • Manage risks, including environmental, geotechnical, and operational constraints.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience delivering major marine or port infrastructure projects (£20m+), such as quay walls, dredging, or coastal engineering schemes.
  • Strong understanding of marine construction methodologies, contract management, and supply chain coordination.
  • Experience navigating planning, consenting, and marine licensing processes.
  • Ability to lead complex, cross-functional teams in technically challenging marine environments.
  • Willingness to travel across UK port locations.

We offer a competitive salary, contributory pension from day one (Starting at 3% employee contribution with 5% company match), private healthcare, access to our Employee Assistance Program, wide range of discounts and cash back with high street and online retailers. We offer an inclusive work environment with an in-house training academy which offers ongoing opportunities to develop your skills.
