Technical Project Manager

Overview We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to join a mid-sized engineering organization within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.You will be responsible for delivering CapEx investment projects from early concept through to successful execution and handover. The role sits within an eperienced engineering team and offers the opportunity to contribute to both operational improvements and longer-term site development initiatives, including sustainability-focused projects. Responsibilities Lead and deliver engineering CapEx projects safely, on time, and within budgetManage the full project lifecycle, including concept development, planning, execution, commissioning support, and final handoverSupport and/or develop business cases to secure project funding and investment approvalEnsure full compliance with EHS standards, environmental regulations, and cGMP requirements, as well as internal engineering and quality proceduresCoordinate and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Engineering, Operations, QA, EHS, Sustainability, and global technical teamsDefine project scope, objectives, timelines, and execution strategies aligned with business needsMonitor and control cost, schedule, quality, and risk, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of issuesDrive clear and structured communication across project teams and stakeholdersContribute to continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency and decarbonization efforts where applicableEnsure adherence to engineering standards, quality systems, and regulatory expectations throughout all project phases Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience in project engineering within the pharmaceutical or chemical industryProven experience delivering CapEx projects in GMP-regulated environmentsStrong understanding of project management methodologies, engineering processes, and project execution principlesAbility to manage full lifecycle projects from initiation to handoverExperience working with structured project management tools and reporting systemsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific field(Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Chemical or similar)Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)Personal Specification:Excellent organizational skills with an ability to produce quality work and achieve project deadlines within budgetExcellent communication skills (both verbal and written)Excellent commercial skills with the ability to manage projects to budget man-hours and commercial return targetsStrong work ethicSelf-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and businessA forward planner who identifies and resolves project issuesCritically assesses own performance and performance of othersProven experience in multiple project delivery
