Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Analyst to join our team within a Financial Services transformation environment. This role will sit within a finance-focused function, supporting the operation, analysis and continuous improvement of core business systems, reporting processes and data-driven initiatives.

The position combines elements of a Data Analyst, Product Analyst and Systems Analyst role, offering broad exposure across business processes, finance systems, reporting and change initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to support existing applications, analyse datasets, investigate issues, gather requirements and contribute to ongoing transformation projects.


Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of internal finance and operational systems.
  • Assist with data analysis, reporting and investigation activities to support business decisions.
  • Work with stakeholders across business and technology teams to gather requirements and understand operational processes.
  • Contribute to transformation and change initiatives, including process improvement activities.
  • Produce and maintain reports, dashboards and management information (MI).
  • Perform data validation and quality assurance checks across reporting outputs.
  • Assist with documenting business processes, requirements and system updates.
  • Support testing activities for system enhancements and implementations.
  • Help identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to existing processes and workflows.
  • Ensure all activities are completed in line with governance and compliance standards.


Key Skills and Attributes

  • Interest in working with data, systems and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Collaborative and proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within analysis, systems or change-focused roles.
  • Over 2 years of experience within the Financial Services industry.


Preferred Experience and Knowledge

  • Exposure to data analysis, reporting, product or systems-focused work.
  • Basic understanding of finance concepts such as general ledger, financial reporting and reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with reporting or dashboard tools is beneficial.
  • Experience working with stakeholders across business and technology teams.
