Azure DevOps Engineer

Our culture of growth and empathy focuses on your long-term career development while valuing your unique skills and experiences. **Your role and responsibilities** As an Infrastructure Specialist: Azure DevOps, you will design and deploy containerized applications on Azure, leveraging expertise in Azure Component services for Compute, Storage, Networking, and Monitoring. You will collaborate with Application Architects and Application Developers to identify suitable tools for performance, code quality, and code coverage measurement, and define quality gates in CI/CD pipelines. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Operate, monitor and refine the current Azure/Kubernetes platform (AKS, Azure SQL/Elastic Pools) including the fully automated Helm-based releases, Terraform changes, SqlPackage & Liquibase DB patching and Application Insights monitoring/alerts. * Own, maintain and incrementally improve the existing GitLab CI/CD setup (the scheduled deployments, MR-based ephemeral environments, changelog generation, notifications, Jira integration etc.), including day-to-day troubleshooting of failed pipelines and deployments. * Provide hands-on support to development teams for the existing application stack (React frontend, .NET backend, SQL databases), including environment issues and other IT setup related issues. * Maintain and improve the security of the containerized workloads (rootless/distroless images, hardened Kubernetes security contexts, read-only filesystems, dependency updates via Renovate/Dependabot) and the cloud environment, including vulnerability remediation and coordination with security/compliance stakeholders. * Continuously monitor resource usage and cloud costs, performing right-sizing, tuning and capacity planning, and acting as a day-to-day **Required technical and professional expertise** * Operate, monitor and refine the current Azure/Kubernetes platform (AKS, Azure SQL/Elastic Pools) including the fully automated Helm-based releases, Terraform changes, SqlPackage & Liquibase DB patching and Application Insights monitoring/alerts. * Own, maintain and incrementally improve the existing GitLab CI/CD setup (the scheduled deployments, MR-based ephemeral environments, change log generation, notifications, Jira integration etc.), including day-to-day troubleshooting of failed pipelines and deployments. * Provide hands-on support to development teams for the existing application stack (React frontend, .NET backend, SQL databases), including environment issues and other IT setup related issues. * Maintain and improve the security of the containerized workloads (rootless/distroless images, hardened Kubernetes security contexts, read-only filesystems, dependency updates via Renovate/Dependabot) and the cloud environment, including vulnerability remediation and coordination with security/compliance stakeholders. * Continuously monitor resource usage and cloud costs, performing right-sizing, tuning and capacity planning, and acting as a day-to-day. **Preferred technical and professional experience** • Azure Administration Certification: Certification in Azure Administration, with a strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code provisioning and sandbox environment creation. • Cloud-Native Architecture Expertise: Experience with designing and deploying containerized applications on Azure, leveraging expertise in Azure Component services for Compute, Storage, Networking, and Monitoring. • Kubernetes Cluster Management: Experience with managing Kubernetes clusters, including configuration of HA/DR and orchestration best practices using Kubernetes, Docker, and CRIO. • Hybrid Cloud Environment Administration: Experience administering hybrid cloud environments, applying knowledge of Storage, Compute, and Security Services to ensure seamless integration with DevOps toolchains. • CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Experience with monitoring SLA, services health, and key metrics, ensuring seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines.
