We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and enterprise integrations. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys solving complex backend challenges, working with large datasets, and designing integration flows for mission‑critical systems. You will be a key technical contributor in a mature enterprise environment, driving backend development, optimizing data processing, and ensuring smooth communication between distributed systems. **What you'll be doing** + Design and develop robust backend services using Java (enterprise-grade applications) + Implement business logic, service orchestration, and integration points + Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of backend modules + Develop and optimize advanced PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers + Perform SQL tuning and improve data processing efficiency + Work closely with large datasets and complex schemas + Drive best practices around data modeling and database performance + Support and enhance REST/SOAP integration flows between systems + Troubleshoot data transformation issues and integration inconsistencies + Participate in technical design and architecture discussions **What you'll bring along** + A University degree or advanced diploma in a software engineering-related discipline, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience + Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar position + Strong experience in Java backend development + Solid understanding of: Object-oriented design, Multithreading and concurrency, Service-oriented architectures + Deep hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL development + Experience with Jakarta EE or Spring Framework + Good knowledge of SQL performance tuning at scale + Experience with Git or similar VCS + Experience with with CI/CD, build and deployment pipelines + Good knowledge of: REST/SOAP APIs, schema validation, and data transformation + Very good English and Germa communication skills, written and spoken **What’s in it for you** ✔ New beginnings can be a challenge.
