Technical Application Engineer

As a Technical Application Engineer, you play a crucial role in the deployment, operation, and continuous improvement of key technical applications that support complex engineering, maritime, and defense-related programs. You are responsible for ensuring that applications are reliable, secure, and resilient throughout their entire technical lifecycle, from initial setup to ongoing optimization and issue resolution. You will work closely with internal IT specialists, application owners, and external suppliers to maintain a robust and secure application landscape that meets both operational demands and long-term organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities In the position of Technical Application Engineer, you will be accountable for: • Creating and maintaining technical application solutions that are secure, scalable, and fit for enterprise use • Managing the technical operation of applications, including configuration, maintenance, updates, and patching, while safeguarding high availability • Continuously monitoring application performance, resolving incidents, and performing root cause analysis • Implementing and maintaining security measures at the application level in line with best practices • Handling integrations between applications, infrastructure components, identity and access services, and external systems • Supporting application-related changes and providing technical assistance during incidents • Contributing to the ongoing improvement of application platforms, while ensuring adherence to internal standards, policies, and procedures • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date technical documentation • Actively sharing knowledge to strengthen technical expertise and collaboration within the team
