In the Resilience sector we are working on different design automation initiatives for hydrotechnical assets, environmental studies, energy transition, climate adaptation and sustainable design. Assets can be defined as any resource that will create value to the business. Arcadis is good at designing, managing, and maintaining physical, human, and intangible assets (software, data etc.). Your role:You will join our Resilience Automation Team in Arcadis Romania and be part of the company-wide digital transition. You will work together in an Agile environment (Scrum) to develop and improve the performance of the tools for maximum return on investment and improved utilization. We work on a variety of products aimed at automating engineers’ work. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Writing and testing code, preparing documentation, and integrating applications with third-party web services while adhering to best practicesCreating custom solutions of various complexity to assist with business requirementsDeveloping scalable back-end components to improve application performanceDesigning and integrate user-facing elements into applicationsDeploy applications using company or third-party hosting servicesFocusing on quality-control through peer reviewAdopting a “minimum viable product” mentalityQualifications:We are looking for someone to fit in with the existing DevOps team of five developers. The key assets we are looking for are:University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or related fieldStrong Python knowledge (e.g., modular coding, OOP, unit testing, documentation)Experience in software/web development/databases (e.g. Python, Streamlit, React, C#, SQL)Enjoying discovering and solving problemsStrong analytical skillsStrong English language Key attributes:Adaptable (e.g. open to work on many different projects and technologies)Supportive attitude, open to feedback, collaboration skillsAble to work within a team in an Agile environmentStrong communication skills for all target audiences (e.g. developers, stakeholders)Able to work in a multicultural environmentDrive your own development, having an improvement focused mindsetAvailability to travel abroad (Continental Europe) for short periods.Why Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
