Our engineers are not just technical partners/mentors, but are also business partners who are exposed to all areas of the business, working with teams such as product, marketing, and sales.Role and ResponsibilitiesOur Software Engineers work on small, collaborative teams to help drive our company forward. Whether you’re exploring cutting-edge technologies like LLM and vector index, improving the fault tolerance of a SingleStore cluster, accelerating the performance of SQL queries with techniques like SIMD and LLVM codeGen, or writing search and costing modules for the query optimizer, our interns are responsible for projects that are deployed into production in the next release after your internship. Your work will include everything from writing to testing software, and you’ll gain a significant understanding of both the product and the business.Required Skills and ExperienceEnrolled in a B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplineDeep understanding of C.S. fundamentalsStrong programming skills with C++ or CPassionate about building highly reliable softwareFirm grasp of algorithms and data structuresPreferred skill and experienceUnderstanding of core C.S. fundamentals, in particular operating systems, distributed systems, concurrency, multithreading, and server architecturesSingleStore delivers the cloud-native database with the speed and scale to power the world’s data-intensive applications.
