Account Deletion and Data Rights
This page explains how users can request account deletion, deactivation, access, correction, or other data-rights actions.
1. Making a request
Users may request account deletion, data access, correction, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, or other data-rights actions through the Eurojobs category of the OTI Group Helpdesk.
Eurojobs may later add a self-service deletion request button inside the account area. Until then, the helpdesk is the official request route.
2. Identity verification
We may need to verify your identity, account ownership, or authority before acting on a request. We may ask for enough information to locate the relevant account and confirm that the request is genuine.
3. Account deletion request
When a deletion request is made through a verified workflow, account access may be blocked or deactivated immediately so that, from the user perspective, the account is no longer active.
This does not always mean that all data is permanently deleted instantly. Some records may remain temporarily or longer where needed for legal, security, billing, fraud-prevention, dispute, complaint, or platform-integrity reasons.
4. Review and retention
After deactivation, the account record may remain available to authorised administrators for review, security checks, complaint handling, payment review, fraud prevention, legal obligations, and platform-integrity purposes.
Admin review does not mean every deletion request must be manually investigated. Accounts may remain in a retention state and become eligible for permanent deletion or anonymisation after the applicable period unless a complaint, legal hold, suspicious behaviour, unpaid billing issue, abuse report, or other reason requires retention.
Eurojobs currently expects certain deleted/deactivated account data to be retained for up to 12 months before permanent deletion or anonymisation, unless earlier deletion is approved or longer retention is legally or operationally required.
5. Data that may be retained
Examples include billing records, invoices, payment references, legal acceptance records, security logs, fraud indicators, abuse reports, employer/jobseeker interaction records, application audit records, feed records, advertising records, sponsored content records, and information needed to resolve disputes or comply with law.
6. Access and portability
You may request a copy of personal data we hold about you where applicable. Some data may be excluded where disclosure would affect the rights of others, reveal security information, expose confidential business data, or be restricted by law.
7. Correction
You may request correction of inaccurate personal data. Many profile, CV, company, and account details can be updated directly from the dashboard where the relevant feature exists.
8. Restriction and objection
You may request restriction of processing or object to certain processing where applicable. We will consider such requests in light of the legal basis, platform purpose, user rights, and any legal or operational need to continue processing.
9. Withdrawal of consent
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent where applicable. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal and does not affect processing based on other legal grounds.
10. Complaints
You may have the right to complain to a data-protection supervisory authority. We encourage users to contact Eurojobs first so we can try to resolve concerns quickly.
