The Role: We are looking for a detail-driven and proactive Financial Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of the business. This role includes responsibility for areas such as the general ledger, accounts payable, reconciliations, and the month-end close process. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate, timely financial information that supports the business.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and wants to make a real impact by building efficient processes and maintaining high standards across the finance function.As a Financial Accountant, you are expected to:Oversee daily accounting operationsEnsure accurate and timely reconciliations, proactively resolving discrepanciesMonitor and deliver the monthly close process in line with the group’s reporting timelines and prepare management accountsManage quarterly VAT returnsPrepare statutory financial statementsAssist with the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated reportsMaintain and improve internal controls and accounting proceduresLiaise with our tax representatives for certain tax-related mattersTake ownership of ad hoc financial tasks and projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and a hands-on approachCommunicate effectively with internal stakeholders (e.g., leadership, operations) and external parties (e.g., auditors, advisors, banks, suppliers), ensuring clear and timely information flowFully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)2-3 years of experience in a similar roleStrong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standardsHighly proficient in Microsoft ExcelAble to prepare and present clear, accurate, and reliable financial information and reportsStrong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under tight reporting deadlinesProactive, independent, and hands-on, with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset
