We provide best-in-class consenting support, technical advisory, project management, and engineering services from feasibility through to construction and operation.About the RoleGES are expanding our engineering team. This is a client-facing engineering project management role, with a strong electrical and Owner's Engineer focus. The successful candidate will take ownership of assigned projects, acting as Owner's Engineer and/or Engineering Project Manager, with responsibility for technical quality, programme delivery, commercial input, and client satisfaction across the full project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesGES offer owner's engineer and project management services to various renewable energy projects, at varying stages of development. Our key services in our Pre-Construction and Construction offering include the following:Deliver project scopes in line with agreed timelines, quality standards, and budgets set with the clientLead pre-construction and construction phase projects, reporting directly to the Programme ManagerOwn and manage project programmes, risks, and change control processesSupport commercial negotiations, variations, and claims from a technical perspectiveAct as primary point of contact for the client on assigned projectsLiaise with statutory bodies, act as single point of contact (SPOC) with contractors, statutory and non-statutory bodies such as local authorities, statutory consultees, landowners, and other stakeholdersCoordinate internal and external stakeholders, collaborating closely with the GES project team and external contractorsAttend and participate in on-site meetings with clients and project stakeholdersEnsure compliance with internal Quality Assurance and Management SystemsEnsure all activities comply with relevant Irish and UK health and safety legislationSupport seamless project delivery through effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.....................Additional ResponsibilitiesLead and contribute to projects across various stages of the project lifecycleProduce and review feasibility reports, technical risk registers, and due diligence outputs suitable for investor and lender reviewManage technical due diligence and feasibility assessmentsTrack and report on project progressionProvide technical input into commercial evaluationsCollaborate with colleagues across Galetech Group on cross-disciplinary and multi-jurisdictional projectsDemonstrate the ability and willingness to adopt and learn new software toolsSupport business development activities, including client engagement, bid support, and relationship managementProduce and review feasibility reports, technical risk registers, and due diligence outputs suitable for investor and lender reviewIdentify key technical and grid risks and propose mitigation strategiesSupport transaction timelines through timely and high-quality technical inputsSupport wider team during project submissionsProvide guidance and mentoring to junior staff Skills / QualificationsEssential:3-6 years' project management experienceProven experience consulting with clients, subcontractors, and external stakeholdersStrong communication, organisational, and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentFull, clean driving licenceSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyAbility to review and challenge technical designs and contractor methodologies Desirable:Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)Experience in renewable energy (wind, solar, BESS, grid infrastructure)Experience in preparing electrical functional specificationsContract management experienceFamiliarity with Irish and/or UK grid codes and permitting environmentsCandidates from other engineering or infrastructure sectors will also be considered.Personal AttributesHighly motivated with a strong willingness to learn and adaptCollaborative team playerCommercially aware with strong technical judgementComfortable working both independently and as part of a wider teamFlexible and adaptable to evolving project needs What We OfferCompetitive salary, commensurate with experienceReimbursable business expensesDefined contribution company pensionPermanent role with a 6-month probation periodOpportunities for continued professional development and career progressionThe opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of GES as we expand into the UK and other markets.
