Location: Brianza / Lombardy Industrial District, Italy

Coverage Area: Northern Italy, with a focus on Monza, Lecco, Bergamo, Brescia and surrounding manufacturing areas

Reporting to: Managing Director / CEO, Italy Branch


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Italian employment contract under CCNL Commercio.
  • Classification: 1° Livello or Quadro.
  • Fixed annual gross salary: €55,000 – €75,000 RAL paid over 14 monthly salaries.
  • Variable bonus plan: Performance-related incentive arrangements are also provided. Further details will be discussed during the recruitment process.

Our company is an international player in the field of high-power fiber laser cutting systems, tube laser machines, and industrial automation solutions. To support the growth of our Italian organization, we are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial sales professional with a strong background in the sheet metal and laser cutting industry.

The ideal candidate comes from the medium-high segment of the machine tool market and combines strong commercial capabilities with solid technical understanding of laser processing technologies and industrial production environments.


Mission:

The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for developing sales opportunities and strengthening the company’s presence in Northern Italy, with a particular focus on the highly industrialized Brianza and Lombardy manufacturing districts.

The role requires the ability to autonomously manage customer relationships, understand production processes, and technically explain the advantages of modern fiber laser cutting and tube cutting technologies compared both with previous-generation systems (such as CO₂ laser technology) and with competing solutions currently available on the market.

The successful candidate will contribute to positioning the company as a reliable and technologically advanced partner capable of combining competitive technology, high productivity, and strong local customer support.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage sales activities for fiber laser cutting machines, tube laser cutting systems, and industrial automation solutions.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with manufacturing companies, subcontractors, and industrial groups.
  • Identify new business opportunities through direct sales activities, existing contacts, agents, and industry networks.
  • Conduct technical-commercial presentations and explain machine performance, productivity, ROI, and process advantages.
  • Support customers in evaluating the transition from older technologies, including CO₂ laser systems, to modern fiber laser solutions.
  • Analyze customer production requirements and recommend the most suitable technical configuration.
  • Collaborate with application engineers and after-sales teams during demonstrations, quotations, installations, and follow-up activities.
  • Prepare commercial offers and negotiate contracts in coordination with management.
  • Participate in trade fairs, open houses, customer demonstrations, and industry events.
  • Provide regular sales forecasting and reporting to Italian management and international headquarters.
  • Potentially coordinate and develop the Italian sales department in the future.
  • Complete other related tasks assigned by supervisors.


Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in the laser cutting or sheet metal machinery industry.
  • Proven experience selling fiber laser cutting machines, tube laser systems, and industrial automation solutions.
  • Strong understanding of laser processing technologies and manufacturing workflows.
  • Ability to technically compare different machine architectures and technologies.
  • Existing network of customers, agents, and industry contacts in Northern Italy.
  • Proven capability to work independently and manage complex sales cycles.
  • Experience operating within medium-high market positioning is highly appreciated.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Availability for frequent travel within Italy.


Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent technical-commercial communication skills.
  • Ability to discuss productivity, cutting quality, automation benefits, operating costs, and process optimization.
  • Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Good understanding of industrial production environments and sheet metal applications.
  • Fluent Italian and good professional English are mandatory.
  • Ability to interact with international headquarters and European subsidiaries in English.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
