Product Manager – Filler Metals

At ESAB, we are looking for a Product Manager – Filler Metals to join our commercial team in the Med sub-region. In this role, you will drive the local execution of the European Filler Metals strategy and support the commercial organization in achieving sales and growth targets across distributor and direct sales channels. You will work closely with Area Sales Managers, Sales Agents, distributors, and key accounts, providing product expertise, market insights, and sales enablement to strengthen ESAB’s position in the market. The Product Manager filler metal will also be part of the commercial support to the internal sales network and the distribution channel, granting a proactive support on strategic sales initiatives, planning and monitoring campaigns, keeping focus on strategic products sales progress, tracking filler metal opportunities and driving commercial activities according to the targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the European Filler Metals strategy at sub-regional level
  • Support the sales team and distributors with product knowledge, technical guidance, and recommendations
  • Deliver product trainings to internal teams and distributor partners
  • Support product launches, campaigns, and portfolio updates
  • Analyze sales performance and identify growth opportunities
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing to maintain a competitive position
  • Support customer troubleshooting and resolve product-related issues
  • Provide market feedback to European Product Management
  • Benchmark and position products to be within the local market requirements
  • Be proactive in the funnel process
  • Support sales team with commercial initiatives, track opportunities, and drive sales
Your ProfileRequired
  • Technical or engineering background
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of welding processes and filler metals
  • Experience working with sales or cross‑functional team
  • Local language C1 and English minimum B2
  • Driver’s license and willingness to travel 2–3 days per week
  • Availability to travel to all the countries of the Med in an intensive way
Desired
  • University degree in engineering or technical field
  • Welding Technician or Welding Engineer certification
  • Experience in a multinational organization
  • Place of work is in the province of Milan, but we are available to evaluate other solutions in central/southern Italy
