Senior Sous Chef – New Opening | Modern European Restaurant | London

We’re launching an exciting new modern European restaurant in London and are looking for a talented Senior Sous Chef to help lead the kitchen from day one.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new opening, working alongside an experienced Head Chef to shape the menu, build the team, and set the standards.

The Role

As Senior Sous Chef, you will be a key leader in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of running a high-performing brigade and delivering exceptional, seasonal dishes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Help recruit, train, and develop the opening team
  • Drive consistency, quality, and presentation across all sections
  • Assist with menu development and seasonal changes
  • Manage ordering, stock control, and kitchen GP targets
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are always met
  • Step up to lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up
  • Background in quality modern European or premium casual/fine dining kitchens
  • Experience with new openings or high-volume quality restaurants is a big plus
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Organised, calm under pressure, and passionate about great food
