Its defence and space technologies enable governments and institutions to protect natural resources, societies and individual freedom.www.airbusdefenceandspace.comInterest group: Software EngineeringContract type/working time: Work experience: 5 + yearsWe are looking for a smart and reliable Software Engineer ( mid level) to become part of the Airbus Defence and Space Romania team.The ideal candidate has excellent abilities in Software Engineering, experience with different types of systems and structures (application, interface and underlying subsystems), DevOps awareness and scripting skills.Responsibilities:Review requirements, specifications and technical documentation Create and maintain software modules mainly in Python/C/C++ Carry out the Software development activities on the system integration platform until the system acceptanceCreate and perform research (Proof of Concepts) for various software technologies Participate to project’s ceremonies (i.e. Agile, Waterfall, V-Model)Based on business needs, travel outside the country may be requiredRequirements:Knowledge and skills:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or similar background5 years working experience in software development ( systems programming is an advantage)Experience with programming languages such as Python/C/C++/RustExperience with other OOP programming languages such as Java would be considered an advantageExperience with scripting programming languages: Bash, Perl, etc.Experience with testing and debugging in an embedded environmentGood understanding of communication / networking interfaces and protocols (TCP/IP stack)Knowledge of operating systems: Linux, WindowsKnowledge of continuous integration, build and deployment toolsKnowledge of JIRA ticketing system or similar systemsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFluent in EnglishPolice record cleanCompetencies: Customer focusExcellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a strong sense of customer service.Solution oriented with a high sense of quality, attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency, and meeting tight deadlines.Strong service orientation and delivery focusTeam player who is also able to work independently and handle conflicting priorities while maintaining consistent, quality performance standards.Working in a multicultural environment / as part of a teamWhat do we offer you?
