About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mobile App Technical Lead (SFIA Level 6) to guide and manage a high‑performing development team delivering complex mobile solutions. This role is ideal for a seasoned technical leader with strong hands‑on knowledge across both iOS and Android and a background in large‑scale, highly regulated digital environments.

You will provide both technical direction and line management to mobile developers, ensuring the delivery of a secure, high‑quality, user‑focused mobile application.



Key Responsibilities

* Lead and mentor a cross‑platform mobile development team
* Provide expert technical guidance across iOS and Android
* Oversee architecture decisions, code quality, and engineering best practice
* Ensure mobile application development aligns with organisational standards and regulatory requirements
* Collaborate closely with product, security, and wider technology teams
* Drive continuous improvement and promote modern engineering techniques



Essential Experience

* Proven experience as a Technical Lead within mobile app development
* Strong knowledge of both iOS and Android ecosystems
* Experience delivering mobile solutions within complex, multi‑stakeholder environments
* Background working in high‑security or highly regulated digital settings
* Demonstrable leadership skills: coaching, mentoring, performance management
* Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical direction



Additional Requirements

* BPSS clearance (or ability to obtain)
* Flexibility to travel occasionally to Telford
