Plant Engineer - Facilities & Utilities, French and English vacancy for our Neuchâtel based client in the Pharma sector.

As Plant Engineer, your mission will be to supply engineering expertise to support and continually improve the Takeda Neuchatel site and ensure the continued production activities of while respecting all relevant standards, cGxP's, and the wants and needs of the customer.

The Plant Engineering Team ensures continuous support for the Takeda Neuchatel site installations especially regarding Facilities & Utilities Installations.

As Facilities & Utilities expert, the Plant Engineer provides technical support on investigations, re-occurring problems, required modifications, optimizations and Continuous Improvements.

Additionally, the Plant Engineer shall support the delivery of projects of varying complexity that span the complete site operations and organizational boundaries.

Your tasks:

  • Act as the subject matter expert and primary contact for users of assigned Facilities & Utilities installations regarding technical matters
  • Provide expertise in Building, HVAC systems, Black Utilities (Chillers / Boilers), Clean Utilities, and Chemical storage & distribution
  • Lead and/or support the design, installation, commissioning and qualification of improvements, changes or upgrades to equipment
  • Ensure that technical condition of equipment, systems and installations is fit for use, proposing actions and improvements where required
  • Organize and coordinate corrective actions, improvements, and modifications while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety measures

Your experience/knowledge:

  • Engineering degree (BSc, MSc or equivalent) in biotechnology, chemistry, food processing or mechanical engineering
  • 5+ years' experience in the Pharma/Biotech industry with focus on Process and Plant/Engineering
  • Proven experience in the installation, commissioning, and validation of pharmaceutical facilities, particularly Facilities & Utilities; Maintenance and Utilities experience is an advantage
  • Sound knowledge of Good Engineering Practices, cGxPs, FDA guidelines, ISPE guidelines, ATSM2500 & ASME/BPE standards
  • Language skills: fluency in English and French, German is a plus
